Lunch time. Perfect time.

#Blog3                                                                                                                          Dated: 18/10/2013

Lunch times can be boring to some, time to socialize for some and even works as a power break for some! Isn't it amazing how a particular hour that is available to the whole world without any bias have different effect on each of their lives?
Well, I wanna share a few things that must be done on a lunch break:

1. Leave your desk (Gluing your eyes to the computer screen even while eating? That's like a mental torture for me. And there are many dangers associated when we sit for too long. So, walking to another room to have lunch is Important)

2. Go Outside (This is what I love doing the most. Stepping outside the office just to go to the washroom to have a look on the mirror is very refreshing for me. I know that's funny but I love it. Go out and have juice with your friends. Sun rays even helps you with Vitamin D. Lol.)

3. Exercise (You can't literally exercise of course. That'll be funny. But walking up and down the stairs can help.Steve Cooper, editor-in-chief of Hitched Magazine, says he runs during his lunch break every day. "The sweat, the fatigue, the endorphin rush all give me a boost in the afternoon and into the evening," he says. That's like amazing. It even sharpens your mind. Trust me.)

4. Read (Reading is a good habit. I love reading. Not the books like your textbooks or anything, of course. That'll make me have a trauma. You can read magazines, watch good movies like an Inspiration Overload. Sounds funny but it does work.)

5. Eat healthy (The food that goes inside our body gives us strength to work for the whole day. And a recent study even proves that people who have a regular healthy diet are 25 percent more likely to be high performers. But I don't mind having Mc Donald's French fries once a month. That'll be refreshing.)

6. Don't Over-eat ( Sometimes we think - 'Why do we feel sleepy sometimes after having lunch?' I understand its your favorite food and I understand you can't resist. But ladies and gentlemen, keep this thing in mind: Over-eating reduces your blood sugar and that will make you feel tired and even depressed. Well, that's actually depressing. Avoid it.)

7. Grab lunch with Friends or Colleagues (Eating alone is a real bad idea. You can even use this time as 'Socializing time'. You can build relationships and have fun.)

8. Sometimes lunch with Enemies too! (Successful people really don't have the time to hold guilt or bear grudges. They forgive and forget. They play safe. Simple.)

9. Music Music Music (Turn on the radio or your music player and listen to the music you love. Avoid ear plugs. It refreshes and recharges you. It decreases our tension and stress level. You can work more effectively after that.)

10. Take Naps (I love taking power naps when nobody's noticing me that much. People around me might think that I'm tired or didn't have a good sleep the previous night but that's not true. Our body needs an afternoon nap. Atleast for seven minutes. Just imagine having Nap rooms at your office? As, It's not exactly how many hours we are sitting at our desks, but how present are we when we're there.)

Try doing the above things and you'll surely be petrified. Thank me later, okay?

Accident-proneness. Realization. Better late than never.

#Blog2                                                                                                                         Dated: 15.10.2013

I got up late. And couldn't get ready properly. I was very clumsy. I reached office just on time. Me and my friends made a plan to have Ice Cream after lunch. We all went to the top floor so that nobody disturbs us. I enjoyed the Ice Cream more as it was my favorite. We came back to the office and started to work. It was pleasant until my Principal called me and started scolding me for the work I forgot to do. My mood was like totally off. I tried making through the day.
It was 7:00 pm. Me and my best friend prepared to leave. I then realized that my phone was missing. (Actually it was not MY phone. I dropped my phone a few days back and now its not working. So, the phone I was searching for was a spare one given by my best friend.) We searched for it a lot. I then realized that I left my phone upstairs when we were having Ice Cream. I ran upstairs and searched the whole area, asked so many people but in haste. It was gone.
Clumsiness in the morning, shouts from your Principal and losing a friend's phone. It was the worst day of my life. I really wanted to know why was this happening and how can i be so careless.
I started to read about it. Carelessness, also called as Accident-proneness or Clumsiness, happens because of absent-mindedness, immature and irresponsible behavior (being impulsive), unconsciously doing things etc. Studies reveal that education or study experience is the key factor for concentration capability, which i lack, I realized. I really don't know what went wrong in the former years to make me so clumsy. But, a good point about this is that I realized and I'm working on it.

"A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them." - John C. Maxwell.

So, better late than never. I planned on doing yoga and meditation in the morning consistently so that it refreshes and opens my mind. Planning things for the next day at nights. Getting up early. And feeling good. I hope this helps.

Being a Helping Hand

#Blog1                                                                                                                          Dated: 14.10.2013

Just like today. Whole of my family was indulged in cleaning the house for Diwali. But for me, today being a holiday, it was a tough task. I wanted to chat, study for a while, sleep etc but work. Then I saw my dad. He was like enthusiastic and delighted to work. I was in a State of Wonder that how can a person who works like a million times harder than me be so energetic? I was Petrified. Inspired. Its all about how you readily want to become a helping hand in someone's life. I tried doing that. And instead of getting tired I was feeling simply happy and wired to work more. Just like Mr. Shiv Khera said - "A completed task is fulfilling and energizing; an incomplete task drains energy like a leak from a tank". Well, that's proved today.
